Customers please be aware of this scam


Please be advised that some dealers are selling gray imported marine and outdoor electronics. We would urge you not to buy from those dealers as the UK distributor may not replace US products for UK officially imported products if a warranty replacement is required. Some products that are produced for the US market, eg some chart plotters and car navigation systems can not be used properly in the UK (whatever the dealer tells you). The service departments can easily check for gray imports by the serial number, so what at first may appear a few pounds cheaper could more than likely end up being very expensive indeed. The brands particularly blighted at the moment are JRC /Garmin and Raymarine ,we would strongly recommend checking that the dealer in question has not grey imported these products.
